The company

The company Thiem Hoa Pty Ltd trading under the names of Gold Star Food Processing and M.C Yee Noodles specialises in the manufacture and distribution of Fresh Noodle and Pastry products.

In 1979 Gold Star Food Processing was founded by Mr Jimmy Tang who was a pioneer in mechanical Noodle machine manufacturing and equipment in Australia. With only his work experiences in mechanics in war torn Vietnam and with no formal education he was able to design and engineer machinery that was required for commercial production.

Similarly, Ken Lieu in 1990 founded M.C Yee Noodles in Sydney. He was able to draw upon his experiences in mechanic engineering in Vietnam and his many years as a restauranter in Sydney to build his own factory able to produce quality products on a commercial scale.

In 2011. Ken Lieu and his wife Le Lieu acquired Gold Star Food Processing and with the subsequent entry of his sons into the company, Thiem Hoa Pty Ltd was founded.

The two brothers Peter and Eric Lieu have begun formal plans to upgrade the processing plants in Melbourne and Sydney to satisfy a growing market for Noodle and Pastry products around Australia.

The recent acquiring of a 5000m2 site in Padstow Sydney and the beginning of constructing a purpose built process plant is to satisfy the growing demands for space. This state of the art facility has incorporated Food Safety orientated design and the procuring of the most up to date of manufacturing equipment. The estimated completion date of construction is mid 2014.

Peter and Eric although already have collectively been working in the business for 25 years combined. Are also able to draw upon almost 60 years of successes and technical experiences of both of the founding fathers to allow the new company to achieve greater specialization and prestige in the food sector and has most recently begun the production of new lines of Peking, Shanghai and Udon Noodles to satisfy the increasingly specific requirements of customers.


Food Quality

 Gold Star quality is distinguished by the attention and accuracy paid in manufacturing of all products. All products are manufactured fresh Daily and distributed by a fleet of refridgerated trucks.

The HACCP Certified process plant and the certified suppliers and packaging materials are carefully selected according to hygiene and quality.

The Gold Star Food Safety program encompasses every detail of hygiene and is followed directly by the internal Quality supervisor.
