COMPANY PROFILE
The company
In 1979 Gold Star Food Processing was founded by Mr Jimmy Tang who was a pioneer in mechanical Noodle machine manufacturing and equipment in Australia. With only his work experiences in mechanics in war torn Vietnam and with no formal education he was able to design and engineer machinery that was required for commercial production.
Food Quality
Gold Star quality is distinguished by the attention and accuracy paid in manufacturing of all products. All products are manufactured fresh Daily and distributed by a fleet of refrigerated trucks.
The HACCP Certified process plant and the certified suppliers and packaging materials are carefully selected according to hygiene and quality.
The Gold Star Food Safety program encompasses every detail of hygiene and is followed directly by the internal Quality supervisor.

The Factory and Machines
Being centrally located in Melbourne’s inner west. We have immediate access to all major freeways to allow our distribution network to reach all around Metro Melbourne and to the transport ports for interstate customers around Laverton and Altona.
Gold Star machines have the capacity to manufacture large amounts in a short turn around time to support requirements for manufacturers of Dimsim and Ready to eat meals and support is always provided to not allow running out of supply.
The Noodle and Pastry machines also have an assortment of cuts and sizes able to meet your requirements. To allow custom requirements for pastry thickness and sizes.
All Gold Star products are vacuumed packed and/or use Modified atmosphere Packaging techniques to enable shelf stable products and quality.

With a rotating stock of no more than 2 days. We pride ourselves in our stocktaking system which allows our products to be made Fresh Daily. With a large turn over of eggs as part of manufacturing of Egg Noodles and pastries. We are able to source the most freshest eggs straight from the major farms around Melbourne daily ensuring that customers get the freshest possible products.
