Udon Noodles with Prawns




  • Open packet and allow to set for 5 mins at room temp.
  • Bring water to boil in large saucepan.
  • Place noodles in boiling water for 30 secs.
  • For soup base, cook for a further 2 - 3 mins. 
Udon Noodles with Prawns 
  • Heat oil in wok.
  • Brown onion, ginger and garlic.
  • Add bok choy and carrots and cook for 2 mins.
  • Toss in noodles, add japanese soy and chicken stock. Cook till noodles are heated through.
  • Add salt and pepper to taste.
  • Set aside on a plate.
  • Heat oil in wok over high heat.
  • Sear the prawns until coloured on one side. Turn and sear on the other side.
  • Place prawns on top of noodles and garnish with spring onions. 
Serves 2
This recipe is also great with scallops or cubed fish fillets.
Udon Noodle with Miso broth
  • Bring water to boil. Add miso, seafood, vegetables and fresh tofu. Add prepared noodles. Garnish with spring onion and serve hot.
